CCXL leads the charge…

2019 Goals

Following our debut-hosted CX race at Campbell Park *voted best course and best venue 2018* as part of Central Cyclocross League (CCXL) we are looking to go even bigger and better this year.

2019 sees a positive change in race format within CCXL, bringing a dedicated women’s race, without having to share the course with anyone else, no junior men, no v50 men. Just a women’s race.

Our goals for the Velobants hosted round of CCXL, Saturday 28th September 2019, are not just to replicate the huge 2018 race fields (100+ in men’s Seniors, V40 & V50 respectively) but to also smash the existing British Cycling record of 91 female riders in a single race.

So our big, big, bigly big goal for our 2019 race is to get 100 riders on the start-line for the women’s race.

We also want to continue the momentum we hope this will generate to consistently drive larger numbers across the 2019 CCXL season; young, old, female or male.

Punchy? Of course it is but we’re Velobants and we’re gonna give it a jolly good go! But we need your help.…….

This little project needs a killer #hashtag and we are asking you to send us your suggestions. The final decision on the one we go with will be made by Team VB’s own Fab5; Fran, Jeni, Lala, Dr Bants & Rachael.

There is Velomerch up for grabs for the winning smash tag (see what we did there…)

So what you waiting for? Get on the wires and start hitting us with your #hashtags !!
